ILLUSTRATING TILLAMOOK FOREST ORGANISMS

6th graders studied the Tillamook Forest ecosystem using observational sketching as one tool for understanding. They learned drawing and watercolor techniques and each student illustrated a chosen organism published in a class written book.

“Peggy is an amazing teacher and artist.  She makes learning meaningful and enriches students’ lives with her gentle and thoughtful guidance and experiences.  I learned so much from her and I hope we can collaborate again on other projects in the future.”

— Leslie Gray, 5th Grade teacher, Tigard, OR
